Clapgate Sport & Health Week 2025

Monday 9th-Friday 13th June was our annual Clapgate Sport & Health week. Within the week, classes focused upon the many benefits of exercise, sport and being healthy and how this impacts how we feel physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. The children participated in a number of activities including football with FootTech; rugby with Hunslet Rugby; judo with Hajime Judo club; boxing, dance, zumba, handball with Hunslet Girls & Boys Club; Basketball with City of Leeds Basketball and tennis.

Within the week, we also had our Sports Days which were a huge success. Nursery, Reception, Y1/2, Y3/4 and Y5/6 Sports Days all had a fantastic feel to them with the children participating brilliantly and with great support from families. Thank you to all who came and supported!

Within the week we also had our Staff vs Y6 football match. It was a tough game with pressure on both teams! Thankfully (for the staff) it ended with a 3-2 win to the staff!

Thank you for all your support for this week. A fabulous way to celebrate Sport & Health!
