U9 vs Westerton

Clapgate Primary School U9s faced Westerton away in their second meeting of the season, in what proved to be a hard-fought and competitive match.

Despite a strong effort from the team, Clapgate came away with a 3–1 loss. However, there were clear signs of improvement from their previous encounter, with the boys putting in a much more confident and determined performance throughout. 💪⚽

Goalscorer: Oakley- grabbed the team’s only goal, rewarding Clapgate’s positive play and persistence going forward.

A special mention goes to:

⭐ Caleb – Man of the Match ⭐

Caleb put in a fantastic shift, working tirelessly between midfield and defence. His ability to read the game, break up opposition attacks, and quickly turn defence into attack made a huge impact. Constantly supporting his teammates and showing great awareness, Caleb played a key role in keeping Clapgate competitive throughout the match. 👏

While the result didn’t go their way, the improvement in performance shows the team is continuing to grow and develop with each game.
