1AD recently visited The Hepworth art gallery to see Barbara Hepworth’s sculptures. The class have been learning about Barbara Hepworth and how she made her many sculptures from stone, wood, wire, plaster and bronze. They saw some large examples of her work as well as smaller sculptures. The class looked closely at The Family of Man sculpture set outside in the landscaped gardens. 1AD used their sketchbooks to record their observations throughout the day and they enjoyed looking at other art works by different artists.
