2VW went to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park this week to see sculpture of varying sizes in a beautiful landscape. Armed with their sketchbooks the class walked lots of steps through the park visiting lots of sculptures by different artists. They noticed that the sculptures were made from different materials and some were realistic and some were abstract. It was a beautiful day and the children noticed lots of nature including butterflies, dragonflies, sheep, geese, birds, goslings and a heron. The class enjoyed the variety of sculptures and a picnic lunch on the grass. A beautiful day was had by all!
