        Welcome to the Reception Home Learning Page

 

This is the home learning page for Reception –  Miss Barwick’s and Miss Korenika’s

Online learning for Reception-  This will be in the form of several videos uploaded to Tapestry. Each day the teachers will upload links to Phonics videos and either a Literacy or a Maths input. The Literacy or Maths input will end with the teacher setting the children a short bit of work or a challenge to complete. We will also upload a weekly list of additional learning activities on a Monday morning to be completed throughout the week. Any work your child completes please up load pictures or video of it to Tapestry. Please be aware that it is an expectation that children to access the learning. If you need any resources, reading books or a paper learning pack then please contact us through Tapestry or the school office so we can arrange a time for you to collect this.

Home Learning Timetable (self-isolating)

We will use Tapestry to keep you updated with what we are doing at school. Please follow the ideas on there to support your child’s learning.

Please include some independent play time during the day for your child to initiate their own learning. This could include playing with figures and acting out stories, building with bricks, drawing or painting, role play, playing in the garden etc.

Please share what your child is doing at home with us through Tapestry. You can take photos of them doing their work, take photographs of the work they have done or write a note about what your child has been doing.

Home Learning Timetable (bubble/school closure)

We will upload daily videos on Tapestry to support your child at home.

Each day we will put up a maths or a literacy video, a phonics video with the letter sound of the day and also a story. These can be accessed at any time throughout the day so that you can complete them at a time suitable to you and your child.

Other activities will also be shared with you at the beginning of the week.

Useful Websites to access

Always review the sites ahead of time so that you are able to help your children find the best resources available within the sites. Some offer a great number of games, songs, stories, videos etc. so it is important to know the site well in order to support and develop your child’s learning.
