Writing – Flight
We have been flying high this half-term! The children have been learning about different methods of flight, including the history of the Wright Brothers. They have created their own kites, and then wrote instructions of how to make them. Then we read the book called Man On The Moon – a day in the life of Bob. We used colourful semantics to describe the aliens from the story, and then created a story map of the map to support with oracy, vocabulary and sequencing of the story. The children then designed their own aliens and mapped out their own version of Alien On Earth! They have done a wonderful job with alternative stories and parents/carers are welcome to come in to class and read them, just ask.

What The Teacher Says
We have had lots of fun this half-term, writing about aliens! The children have learnt and applied lots of news skills in writing. We are starting to see big jumps in progress at this time of the year which is wonderful to see! The children are working hard on their targets. Keep up the good work!
