Year 3 – French

Year 3 French

Project Overview

The children have been learning about ice creams in French this half term. Over several weeks they have been learnt how to name and recognise 10 different flavours for ice creams. They also learnt how to write the different flavours in French. Once they were confident with the different flavours they learnt how to politely ask for an ice cream using ‘je voudrais’ (I would like).

The children then learnt how to say whether they would like a pot or a cornet of ice cream and how many scoops of ice cream they would like.

At the end of the unit the children performed a short role play to order an ice cream.

On our final day, the children visited the class ice cream parlour and ordered their own ice creams.
