A great 2 games against Oulton Primary School took place at West Riding County Football Association with a strong support from Clapgate parents on Thursday 13th November. A well taken goal from Lenny set us off to a great start and then a brace from Leo ensured a comfortable 3-0 win in game 1. Ollie

15 of our Year 5 children attended LS-Ten Skatepark on Wednesday 12th November. During the event, the children were taught some basic skills involved in skateboarding and given some hints and tips. They then explored the area including the ramps. The children said they had a great time! Staff said the children showed great resilience

On Wednesday 22nd October, our U11’s played at home against Rothwell St Mary’s in their first league game of the season. On a very muddy pitch, Clapgate put in a complete performance against a very stubborn Rothwell St Mary’s team who had already played a couple of game this season. We ran out 6-2 winners

12 of our KS2 children attended the Leeds Well Schools Partnership (LWSP) Indoor Athletics event on Monday 13th November at John Smeaton Leisure Centre. The children took part in a range of activities including chest push pass, standing long jump, javelin, shuttle runs, target throws, balancing challenges and many others! All the team worked hard

6NH visited Leeds art gallery recently to take part in a workshop looking at traditional and contemporary art. The workshop was delivered by Amanda Phillips (art education lead). The class made their own sketchbooks using large sheets of paper and lots of careful folding. They used their handmade sketchbooks to create drawings, ideas and reflections
