Mrs Furbank and Miss Shires have loved restarting our weekly play and stay session on a Friday morning in the cabin. These sessions are for our pre-nursery children and run from 9.00am-10.30am. They are so much fun! Do you have a pre-nursery child? If so, why not come down and join us?

Following last week’s away win at Fountain Primary, we welcomed them to us. In what became a one-sided encounter, goals from Cooper (4), Finley (3) and Dexter resulted in an 8-0 victory for Clapgate. Attacking with speed, defending with their bodies and supporting each other meant it was a complete team performance. Thanks once again

On Monday 3rd March, a group of year 3 and 4 children attended a football tournament run by LUFC. The year 3 team made it to the semi final. Mr Robins was very proud of them as many hadn’t played together much in a team. The year 4 team scraped through to the semi finals

A group of KS2 children attended a Nerf Wars event last week. This was basically dodgeball but with nerf guns. They had a fabulous afternoon and the children loved it! They came 4th overall. They showed excellent sportsmanship and represented Clapgate brilliantly. We’re so proud!

Clapgate U9s played our 1st away game on 27th February against Fountain Primary in Morley and we left with another win, with a score of 2-3. Lenny with 2 goals and Zac scoring another, the team once again showed great determination, team spirit and fight on what was a difficult pitch to play good football.
