Year 3 – Writing
Year 3 – Writing
Project Overview
This half term we have read the book ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. The children really enjoyed reading the book and discovering what adventures the children had!
We started the half term by going on a sensory walk around the school to discuss what we could see, hear, smell, and touch. The children used this information to create their own setting and write their own setting description. The children used expanded noun phrases to describe the different characters in the book. The children worked in small groups to act out the ending to the story and came up with their own ideas about how the White Witch was defeated.
At the end of the half term the children used everything they had learnt to write their own narrative following the same structure.
